How Is Google Using Big Data

Big data is defined as a collection of data sets created by users and machines alike. These data sets are not only created by users, but also by satellites, GPS, sensors, automated response and many more. All this data is aggregated as one to form a data set. The size of these data sets can only be measured in quintillion bytes. The challenge that big data presents IT organizations with is that it becomes hard for managed data centers to organize, sort and manage these large boulders of data. On the flip side, they also present organizations with a lot of unexplored business opportunities.
